ComfoVa was founded on a simple realisation: modern life puts real strain on our bodies. Long hours at a desk, awkward sleeping positions and frequent travel leave many of us waking up stiff, sore and short on rest.
It started with a stiff neck
What began as a personal quest to solve morning neck pain has become ComfoVa: a South African brand of ergonomic memory foam pillows and cushions.
Our approach is simple. One pillow can't do everything, so each ComfoVa is shaped for one job: your neck at night, your knees and hips when you sleep on your side, your tailbone at a desk, your head on a long journey.
We partner directly with certified manufacturers on every slow-rebound foam core and every cover we sell, and we hold them to recognised standards: OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, BSCI and RoHS.
We believe that when your body is properly supported, your whole day changes. Better posture helps you focus, deeper sleep brings back your energy, and comfortable travel makes the journey part of the trip.

What our certificates mean
Our memory foam pillows are certified under three recognised standards. Here is what each one covers.
- OEKO-TEX® Standard 100
- The textiles are tested for harmful substances, so what rests against your skin has been checked.
- amfori BSCI
- A code of conduct and audit programme for fair, safe working conditions in the supply chain.
- RoHS
- Restricts hazardous substances, such as lead and mercury, in the materials used.
